Ted Treu was inducted into the BHS Athletic Hall of Fame in ceremonies held at Burlingame High School before the 79th annual Little Big Game. Presiding at the Induction Ceremony were Mike McQueen'53 (Alumni Association president) and Peter Cleaveland (Master of Ceremonies).

Ted's athletic biography read as follows:

"Ted Treu, 1995, lettered nine times at BHS. He was a four-year starter on the BHS football and basketball teams. He played shortstop and pitcher all four years on the baseball team. He also played 30's basketball. After graduation, Ted entered the Army. He attended CSM (College of San Mateo) and played two years of football where he was captain of the 1958 Big Eight Championship team.

He went on to San Francisco State College and played on the only undefeated football team the school ever had. He was named to the All-Far-Western-Conference Team. Ted played semi-pro football locally. He was invited to participate in seven World Championships at the Iron man competition in Hawaii. In 1988 he competed against his son - a great bonding experience. (Ted says, "Oh, yes, he kicked my butt.") He and his wife live in Redwood Shores."
