Jayne Wright Lasley

The following biographical sketch was taken from "Panther Tracks 1995", a book of memories compiled for our 40th class reunion. Jayne wrote:

"I had to leave Burlingame High School after my Sophomore year. How very sad I was. I finished my high school education at Menlo Atherton High. I met many nice people, but Burlingame High, Washington Grammar School, and all of my "old" friends will have a special place in my heart. I loved the dances at the rec center and the many spontaneous parties at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

My 40 years since high school have been wonderful. I attended San Jose State for two years and then in 1957 married my high school sweetheart from San Mateo, Tom Lasley. We lived in San Jose until 1967 and then moved to Westlake Village in southern California where we still reside. We had three sons, Scott now 36, Chris 35, Ron 31, and a daughter, Malia 23. Scott and Ron are married. Tom has been in Sales Management with Neles-Jamesburg for 26 years.

I have enjoyed establishing our roots in Westlake where my favorite activities have been playing tennis, bridge, and sewing. I am learning to play golf. We have camped and boated for years and now enjoy our motor-home trips with friends.

The last reunion was spectacular. I had a great time and am looking forward to seeing my "old" friends at the upcoming event in September."

Update February 2002

The Lasleys have moved, but are still in Westlake Village, a community located on Highway 101 at the western edge of LA county. Tom is now retired. Son, Chris, is now married and there are now 5 grandchildren. Daughter Malia won the Pac 10 conference platform diving championship while attending UCLA.
