Doris' Class Yearbook bio reads: "Friendly and smiling Doris was a familiar sight to those who went to the main office where she worked in the fall of her senior year. She participated in many After-School-Sports, the A.G.S. Big 'n Little Sister Committee, and was an officer of Aloha Chi Tri-Y. She will go either to College of San Mateo or Pasadena City College. Her pet peeve is having people call her "Pottie" when she walks down the halls."

Little is known about Doris. She attended Hoover School. We last saw her at our 40th Reunion Reception in 1995 held at Barb (Duncan) Hewitt and John Basye's business warehouse in Belmont. She was introduced then as Doris Keoppel. We heard at that time she had not been well, and later it was rumored she moved to the East Coast to be near family.

It was a surprise then to find a Doris Ann Keoppel listed in the Social Security Death Index (SSDI). Born 06 Jan 1938; d. 30 Jan 2009; last residence: Tracy CA; SSN 565-48-8897.

Further investigation shows Doris Ann Potter born in San Mateo CA. At age 41 she married Orvel D. Keoppel, age 54, in San Mateo CA. Marriage date was 19 May 1979.

It appears that Doris' husband died four years later in Belmont CA. The SSDI lists him as Orvel D. Keoppel, b. 08 July 1924; d. May 1983; last residence, Belmont CA; SSN 549-24-5212.
