Biographical sketch of Dick Pfarrer

At B.H.S. my major interests included music by playing drums in the marching, concert, and dance bands plus Frosh-Soph Football and Varsity Track.. I enjoyed the science classes.

After graduation, I entered U.C. at Berkeley and the pre-medical / pre-pharmacy curriculum. During the football season, I participated in the marching band and during the basketball season, the Straw Hat Band.. I transferred to the School of Pharmacy at the medical center campus in San Francisco and joined the Brussels Marching Band in 1958 when we traveled to 5 countries and represented the United States at the Brussels World Fair.. I also marched with the Cal Marching Band in the 1959 Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game.

My career at U.C. Med. Center concluded with the B.S. and doctorate curriculums in 1960 and 1961. I started a pharmaceutical consulting practice and continuing education business which was sold in 1968. I am currently employed by Apria Healthcare Pharmacy Network.

My wife, Sharon, is a former TWA Flight Attendant We just celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary on May 1st.. We have two daughters and four grandchildren. My residence has been in Camarillo since 1982, where we enjoy the ocean climate and mountain views.
