Ronald W. Luff
A Biography

Hello everyone! I attended our 10th Reunion and the Burlingame High School 50th birthday party. Here’s my history, in a nutshell, since 1955.

I worked at the Advance Print Shop for seven years, and became a journeyman Printing Pressman. Then I was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1962 and was a military police officer for five years, with service in Korea and Viet Nam. I was discharged in 1969.

I became a member of the Hillsborough Reserve Police Department from 1969 to 1972. At that time classmate Bill Key was a Sargeant (later Chief of Police). I am sorry to learn of his passing in 1994.

I married in 1964 and divorced in 1992. That same year, at age 56 I retired from printing, after owning my own shop with a business partner for 10 years.

I have two children, a boy and a girl, ages 41 and 39. There are two grandchildren, 7 and 5, and a step-grandchild, 24.

I moved to Oregon in 1993 and live in the Mt. Hood National Forest. This is about 45 miles NE of Portland, in a city called Estacada, on the Clackamas River. Live on nine acres with a year-round creek, and forested with 120 foot Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, and Alder. There is fishing for salmon and steelhead in the nearby Clackamas River. This is truly God’s country!

The photo of me below is with my #1 toy, a Prowler 2000, the Woodward model. This was a limited edition of only 151 cars with this color combo: black over red. Mine is #076.

I send my best wishes to all for a successful 50th reunion.

Yours truly,
Ron
