Carla Joanne Hendershot

June 29, 1937 - May 21, 2009

A Mass of The Resurrection will be held June 11th, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 7290 Airline Highway, Tres Pinos to which friends are invited. Private interment has been held at San Juan District Cemetery.

Carla Hendershot was a native of Alhambra, CA and had moved to San Benito County 35 years ago from Santa Clara County where she had been a secretary for Our Lady of Peace; St. Martins; and St. Maria Goretti Catholic Parishes for a period of 20 years. For 16 years, she was a seasonal employee for the State Park System in San Juan Bautista, after moving here. Her memberships included the Native Daughters of The Golden West (just received her 50 year pin); the San Benito Co. and Hollister Historical Societies, and the Old Mission San Juan Bautista. She was the last of her family, but she is survived by many good friends in Hollister and San Juan Bautista. Memorials are preferred to the St. Francis Retreat Building Fund c/o the mortuary chapel.
