DECADE ONE: LEARNING

1955-1965

Fall '55: Attended San Mateo Junior College; played football.

Fall '56: Transferred to University of Oregon; played football; pledged Beta Theta Pi; graduated Spring of '59; Spent two Summers at Quantico, Virginia in Platoon Leaders

Course; completed military obligation in United States Marine Corps Reserve.

12/21/58: Married Mary Lee Arbuckle (Piedmont, CA High School '56).

11/12/59: Son Ken born; he graduated from Whitman College with a BA degree and from USC with a MBA degree; currently a venture capitalist living in San Rafael, CA, with wife, Jennifer, and grandchildren Allison, Bobby, and Lulu.

Attended San Francisco State graduate school; received Masters' Degree in Labor Economics/ Collective Bargaining.

10/13/61: Son Doug born; he graduated from WSU and is currently Head PGA Professional at golf course in Thermopolis, Wyoming.

1/16/63: Daughter Crissy born; she also graduated from WSU; she lives in Seattle, Washington, and works as a Technical Manager with a hi-tech computer company.

During this time frame worked for SS Steel Corporation in Pittsburgh, CA, and for Bourns Electronics in Riverside, CA.


DECADE TWO: EARNING

1965-1975

July '66: Moved to Bellevue, Washington to begin new career as Management Consultant (Touche,Ross, Bailey, and Smart for two years and C.C. Donworth & Associates for seven years).

Coached Little League and/or American Legion baseball for eleven years and Boy's Club football for ten years.

DECADE THREE: CHURNING & BURNING

1975-1985

January '75: Co-founded Conner, Gravrock, & Treverton, Inc., a Labor Relations Consulting firm; represented approximately 250 employers in Labor Relations matters.

September '81: Dissolution of Marriage; rudely introduced to singles life in the `80s; discovered that females were liberated and that I was chauvinistic.

Spent spare time mostly visiting children in college or skiing at condo in Whistler, British Columbia.

Washington's
not bad...
... but neither is Arizona!

DECADE FOUR: TURNING

1985-1995

6/1/85: Married Lynn Lloyd, a widow whom I was smitten by while skiing at Whistler. Package included two more sons; Tom (born 12/18/67) who graduated from WSU and is currently in the Satellite News business living in Renton, WA, with wife Katherine and grandson Thomas IV; and Steve (born 4/11/71) who also graduated from WSU and is currently an Educator living in San Diego, CA.

Winter '93: Sold Whistler place and purchased second home in Arizona; golf became primary and skiing secondary as recreational activities.

Soulmates are nice!

DECADE FIVE: YEARNING

1995-2005

January '96: Built new home at Hood Canal, Washington

Easter '99: received sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, First Communion, and Marriage from Catholic Church

December '99: RETIRED.

Served as Board Member of Sun Village Condo Association, Olympic Vista Home Owners Association and Alderbrook Golf and Yacht Club.

Fall '03: received certification from Federal Government as Labor Arbitrator; currently taking assignments on an ad hoc basis in the thirteen Western states.
