IN MEMORIAM

From Larry's Yearbook Bio: "Larry was interested in hunting and spent much of his spare time tinkering with his guns. He plans to attend College of San Mateo in preparation for a career as a state hunter or game warden. A transfer from Bellarmine in his juinior year, Larry went out for Varsity Football in both his junior and senior year. Larry James Bianchi
February 21, 1938 to September 1, 2008

"Larry lived life on his own terms: If you enjoy it, do it. If not, screw it. His life ended peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on September 1, 2008.

Larry was born in San Francisco, California to Carlo and Catherine and grew up in Pescadero and Burlingame. He moved to Ukiah in 1973 and worked for the County of Mendocino as a systems analyst for 33 years.

The last 29 years were spent with his beloved wife Donna Barber and they raised three daughters: Laura, Brenda, and Leila. He was known as "Nono" to his four grandchildren: Athena, Dakota, Gage and Mason. His family also includes his sister and brother-in-law: Sandra and Roger Brunet.

Larry spent many years involved with Ukiah youth sports, coaching his daughters in multiple sports and voluntarily managing city basketball.

After retirement, his favorite hobby was bargain hunting at garage sales. Other activities he enjoyed were walking his dogs, playing with his grandchildren, gardening, taking his family out to eat, pheasant hunting, fishing and reading. He and his wife Donna volunteered with local feline rescue organizations.

He will be missed by all of us, including his constant canine companion Sadie.

No services will be held at his request. Donations in his memory can be made to (Spay Neuter Assistance Project) S.N.A.P. (PO Box 4, Talmage CA) or Anderson Valley Animal Rescue (PO Box 188, Boonville CA)."

(Ed. Larry is survived by his sister, Sandra (Bianchi) Brunet, Burlingame H.S. Class of 1958)
